Sip and Paint with Bonnie Junell @ The Village at Sunriver
Apr 6 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

Bonnie is a professional artist that started her sip & Paint classes in Sunriver over 4 years ago to offer something for the locals to do During the off seasons. Her classes were a hit before anyone was offering anything like them anywhere else. Now many larger cities offer similar formatted paint nights to customers. Bonnies classes are really quite different than other classes offered elsewhere. Junell wants everyone to have a good time and socialize but sees her classes as a teaching opportunity and a way to walk away with your own quality painting. Junell’s classes are kept to a maximum of 14 people to insure there is time to give quality instruction and some one on one time. While other classes are taught in acrylic paint these are in water soluble oil. Because JUNELL paints mostly in oil herself she wants her painters to be exposed to what it is like to blend and paint in such a rich medium. Each month the painting is an original work created by Bonnie specifically for her sip & Paint class. These classes have become a favorite for many locals and visitors alike, over 50% of her painters each. month are either regulars or repeat painters. Junell says each class is like meeting with friends for a fun night of socializing, painting and sharing a glass of wine with friends.

The classes are held at The Artists’ Gallery in Sunriver Village.  Building 19

$45.00  includes everything, including complimentary wine and chocolates.

Sunriver Quilt Show @ The Village at Sunriver

Sunriver Quilt Show @ The Village at Sunriver | Sunriver | Oregon | United States

The Sunriver Quilt Show and Sale is a free event presented annually since 1988 by Mountain Meadow Quilters and the Village at Sunriver. Over 200 quilts, some offered for sale, all made by MMQ members, will be displayed throughout the Village. Several special exhibits will be part of the show, including hexagon quilts made by guild members, exhibits of class projects, a bazaar of members’ beautifully made items for sale, and vendors with handcrafted items. Proceeds from the bazaar support the group’s educational activities and service projects.

  • Over 200 quilts on display
  • Quilts for Sale
  • Special Exhibits, including monogram applique quilts, hexagon quilts and classes attended by members
  • Bazaar items and potholders for sale

Mountain Meadow Quilters is a group of over 100 quilters who meet twice monthly on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month with treats and conversation at 9:30 a.m. and a meeting starting at 10:00 a.m.  All meetings are held at the SHARC in Sunriver.

Our mission is to promote the art of quilt making through education and charitable giving.  All levels of skill and ability are encouraged and supported.  The guild engages in selected charitable endeavors in Central Oregon. Hundreds of quilts and other handmade items have been donated to area organizations such as Family Access Network, Grandma’s House, the Dialysis Centers, veterans’ groups and others.  These donations are supported by the proceeds from the bazaar.

Sunriver Art Fair @ The Village at Sunriver
Aug 11 @ 9:30 am – 6:00 pm
Sunriver Art Fair @ The Village at Sunriver | Sunriver | Oregon | United States

The Village at Sunriver has become home to one of the area’s premier summer art events. The Eighth Annual Sunriver Art Fair, sponsored by the Sunriver Women’s Club (SRWC), returns this summer. The Fair showcases 60+ artists displaying and selling their fine arts and crafts. The work is juried from artist applications, the majority from Oregon and Washington. The medium for the art may include ceramics, glass, jewelry, painting, photography, sculpture, textiles, woodworking and mixed media. This year it looks like there will be a significant number of new artists who are interested in showing at the Fair.

In addition to the juried art, additional entertainment includes:

*  Live professional entertainment all three days.
*  An art center for young artists to try out their skills.
*  Saturday night street dance in the Village from 6:30-8:30pm.

Over the last four years, the SRWC (a nonprofit corporation established in 1974) has distributed over $150,000 to nonprofit community agencies that meet the basic needs (i.e., shelter, health, food, clothing and education) of families and children residing in the Three Rivers and South Deschutes County area.

**PLEASE NOTE: Hours on Sunday 9:30am-4pm.
